Learn how to produce the different tree fruits that grow well in the Willamette Valley. The class will review the growing of apples, pears, prunes/plums and nuts which are typically more suited to
this climate. We will also cover some information about peaches and cherries which are more difficult to grow in cool and wet conditions in the spring.
OSU Extension Service, Lane Community College AgriBusiness and the Small Business Development Center in Eugene are teaming up to offer a 9-part class series designed for new farmers and
others interested in expanding their knowledge about agriculture opportunities on a small-scale.
The classes will be held at the LCC campus at 4000 East 30th Avenue, Building 17, Room 310 in Eugene, Oregon on the 2nd Wednesday of each month beginning in October. Participants may register for the entire series which costs $150 or an individual class for $25 each.
