If you’ve ever dreamed of operating your own small farm business or currently own one, this class provides with an overview of the key factors you need to consider before starting a small farm
business. Develop an inventory and assessment of the natural and physical resources of your farm (soil, water, climate) which determine your crop selection options, as well as, the skill set of the
people who will be working and managing the farm business. In addition, it will give you the opportunity to think about the values you bring into the business and create a foundation to move
forward by setting goals.
OSU Extension Service, Lane Community College AgriBusiness and the Small Business Development Center in Eugene are teaming up to offer a 9-part class series designed for new farmers and
others interested in expanding their knowledge about agriculture opportunities on a small-scale.
The classes will be held at the LCC campus at 4000 East 30th Avenue, Building 17, Room 310 in Eugene, Oregon on the 2nd Wednesday of each month beginning in October. Participants may register for the entire series which costs $150 or an individual class for $25 each.
