Vermicomposting, the science of composting with worms, creates a high quality compost that has been shown to
have various benefits for crops and ornamental plants. Learn how to easily produce vermicompost from kitchen vegetable scraps. View the visible and microscope organism that live in the bin and learn
about their contribution to the resulting compost. Presentation will cover strategies for successful
composting with worms, including, food management, harvesting, pests of the bin, and how to minimize problems. The public is welcome to join the class of students studying to become
